When Elisio came to the U.S.in 1967 he thought that one day he would return to Italy, not expecting to live the rest of his life in the United States but when he met Rose in 1976 his fate was sealed. He worked as a cement laborer and later as a finisher, continuing this back breaking work for 40 years. He married Rose in 1980 and they became parents of Robert in 1982 and Ken in 1985. His kids were the joy of his life and he loved spending time with them at home and “up north” on the family owned acreage near Cadillac where he taught them to hunt and just enjoy nature as he did.
The family traveled to Italy many times to meet with Nono Dolpho and Nona Lisetta and Eisio’s sister Elide and nephew Paolo. We all saw many beautiful sights in Italy and are very grateful to know the life he lived there. Elisio, thank you for the opportunity. You were truly one of a kind and are already greatly missed by your family and friends.
